Lola 55, 1290 F Street, San Diego October 3, 2018

First Impression:
Led Zepplin music. This place seems pretty cool. It turns out we get to enjoy ridiculously delicious tacos, while enjoying awesome ‘70s rock. We’re checking out Iron Man by Black Sabbath right now.
I ordered the Ribeye Carne Asada Taco and the Mesquite Chicken Taco.
Nadine had the Rainbow Charred Cauliflower Taco and the Ribeye Carne Asada Taco. Both Lettuce Wrapped. They’re very cool with special dietary needs. Points scored.
We went back for more tacos; Resistance Was Futile.
I got another Ribeye Carne Asada Taco and Nadine changed it up with a Squash Blossom Relleno Taco
These tacos are some of the best tacos that I’ve had.
Seriously. I. Am. Not. Joking.
(Mom’s were better ❤️)
They make the tortillas on site. Very cool touch.
They never let the Delicious Hibiscus Tea reach the bottom of the glass. Made with Earl Grey Tea and Hibiscus Flowers. Delish.
The tea is amazing.
The owner, Frank came by the table, hung out for a minute talking foods and such, bringing “Morita Dulce Salsa, Sweet and Smoky-Spicy.” by for tasting pleasure.
I should write ads. That was Gold.
Second Impression:
We want to live here. The rumors are all true. This place is Awesome.
Nadine noticed that everybody here seems to be attractive.
Don’t Come Ugly.
Anyway, if you love Delicious Tacos, Ridiculous Hibiscus Tea and attractive people watching, as well as a full bar, get a shower and give Lola 55 a try.
We bet you like it.
My Score:
Clean Plates.
