Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar, 598 Town Center Dr, Oxnard, California 93036 September 2, 2018
We drove up to Solvang to check it out and dropped by Lazy Dog Restaurant in Oxnard.
My wife ordered the Seared Sesame Crusted Ahi with Cauliflower Mash. Delicious, according to Nadine.
Lauren (Daughter) had the Pot Roast. It turns out they don’t put any actual Pot in the Roast. Points lost.
She ate it anyway and says it was excellent.
More disappointment for me as my Pot Pie arrived. Just as I expected, no Pot in the pie. RUDE.
That said, the food was as good as we ever had in San Diego. Fresh and delicious Ahi, Pot Roast done just right and a wonderful Pot Pie with chunks of chicken and delicious vegetables in a tasty gravy-like sauce thing.
The Iced Tea was never allowed to go past 1/2 full.
We got a S’mores-related dessert and it was stupid good. All chocolaty and marshmallowy and warm and what not.
The nearby table with the most unlazy dog ever whom decided to bark at every single movement outside the boundaries of the restaurant even didn’t mess up our cool vibe.
We don’t see the daughter every day, so it was a special occasion. Lazy Dog did not disappoint.
